ACCORD Corporation's Allegany
Business Center (ABC) is part of the ACCORD Corporation Business and Community
Development Division (BCDD). This division administers the Entrepreneurial
Assistance Program (EAP) Center, an eleven-station computer laboratory,
Allegany Community Development Service Inc. (ACDSI), and the Vehicle Loan
Program (Wheels to Work). The EAP Center's intensive
program of training and technical assistance offers new entrepreneurs:
- Business Plan Preparation
- Marketing Assistance
- One On One Business Counseling
- Strategic Business Planning
- Computer Training
- Record-keeping Training
- Tax Seminars
- E-Commerce Workshops
ACDSI is a revolving loan
fund that provides business loans to start-up and exisiting businesses.
ACDSI hopes to encourage growth and expansion of business within Allegany
County and to improve employment opportunities for low and moderate income
residents.
The Vehicle Loan Program consists of
the Wheels To Work Program as well as the Community Solutions for Transportation
(CST) programs. This program is aimed at helping working individuals to
obtain and maintain gainful employment through providing auto loans to
income eligible individuals. |
