Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO)
Founded in 1991, AEO is the only national membership association committed to microenterprise development as an effective economic development strategy and a powerful poverty alleviation tool. AEO provides its members with a forum, information, and a voice to promote enterprise opportunity for people and communities with limited resources.
AEO currently has a membership that stretches across the 50 states, the District of Columbia , and Puerto Rico and includes all key agencies and organizations that provide microenterprise services to disadvantaged microentrepreneurs. The combined reach of these organizations exceeds 300,000 microentrepreneurs and small business owners annually.
CDFI Fund US Treasury
The CDFI Fund was created for the purpose of promoting economic revitalization and community development through investment in and assistance to community development financial institutions (CDFIs). The CDFI Fund was established by the Riegle Community Development and Regulatory Improvement Act of 1994, as a bipartisan initiative.
The CDFI Fund achieves its purpose by promoting access to capital and local economic growth.

EVI runs green enterprise projects, direct training and training-of-trainer programs, facilitates market linkage and value chain development, manages learning networks and dialogues, and develops training curricula and other environmental enterprise learning tools.
EVI research and programs include environmental enterprises related to renewable energy, water, agriculture, organics, non-timber forest products, recycling, natural fibers, and alternative fuels.
Entrepreneurial Assistance Program (EAP)
The Entrepreneurial Assistance Program (EAP) was created in New York State by the NYS Omnibus Economic Development Act of 1987. Since its inception, the EAP initiative has helped entrepreneurs create new businesses and has provided in-depth assistance to minorities, women and dislocated workers interested in starting a business.
The EAP establishes centers in local communities to provide instruction, training, technical assistance and support services to individuals who have recently started their own business or are interested in starting a business. The program’s EAP centers are strategically located throughout the State.

Governor Office/ Small Cities
NY The Office of Community Renewal administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for the State of New York . The NYS CDBG program provides financial assistance to eligible cities, towns, and villages with populations under 50,000 and counties with an area population under 200,000, in order to develop viable communities by providing decent, affordable housing, and suitable living environments, as well as expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income.
National Community Reinvestment Coalition
The National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) is an association of more than 600 community-based organizations that promote access to basic banking services, including credit and savings, to create and sustain affordable housing, job development, and vibrant communities for America 's working families.
NY REAL
REAL provides hands-on entrepreneurship education to over 10,000 students of all ages annually; 1,668 instructors have been trained in the REAL program.
Since 1985 more than 11,500 youth and adults have received intensive entrepreneurship training from North Carolina REAL. On average, 2.2 jobs have been created per REAL business start-up, generating $3 million in sales per month across the state.

NYSERDA
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is a public benefit corporation created in 1975 under Article 8, Title 9 of the State Public Authorities Law through the reconstitution of the New York State Atomic and Space Development Authority. NYSERDA’s earliest efforts focused solely on research and development with the goal of reducing the State’s petroleum consumption. Subsequent research and development projects focused on topics including environmental effects of energy consumption, development of renewable resources, and advancement of innovative technologies.

Office of the Aging
The Allegany County Office for the Aging provides expert information and assistance to older individuals and their caregivers to maintain dignity, respect and independence. There are more than 9,000 people 60 years of age and over in Allegany County.

SCORE "Counselors to America 's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
SCORE is headquartered in Herndon , VA and Washington , DC and has 389 chapters throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors. SCORE was founded in 1964.
